Hanzi Recognizer is an free application to perfect and improve your knowledge of Chinese and its writing. It has a Chinese-English dictionary, and an open code tool to practise Chinese writing.



Hanzi Recognizer is divided into characters, lines and formulas. The characters are formed into lines, and a line is considered to be from when the pen touches the paper to when it leaves. The program analyzes your lines compared to its database, and finds one that is the closest. It shows the five closest coincidences.



Said another way, you write a set Chinese character, and Hanzi Recognizer automatically checks it and shows the five closest characters in the Chinese language. As it is done in Java, you need to previously install Java Runtime Environment.
